I actually don't have an issue with what THQ is doing. I think they should start selling the base games at a much lower price and then sell the extra features, like online play, for an additional cost. Look at how many people play Farmville and other Zynga games on Facebook. Some people spend $20 to $30 a month buying the "extras" for the game because they feel the extras are worth the money. Personally, I haven't spent a dime on these games.

The gaming industry needs to get out of the path that they are going on. The music, movie and ebook industries saw massive sales drops because they kept raising their prices without offering more content. The gaming industry is in a unique position to capitalize on everyone, while making more off of the ones that are willing to pay a little extra. I would buy several games a month for $5 each, but I'm not spending $40 to $80 on a game that I may hate.

I agree. If the media whores had left this guy alone to do his protest, none of this would have happened. No one would have known about all of this and we would not be worrying about the aftermath.

I won't even get into how "Christian" this pastor is not.

More accurately we’ve had a lot of prominent politicians and media figures saying a lot of incendiary things about Americans protesting the mosque all summer, something like this is bound to happen.

However via Kevin Drum comes a study from the San Francisco Fed about how immigration has next to no negative effects on employment and actually raises average incomes of native-born workers: The analysis begins with the well-documented phenomenon that U.S.-born workers and immigrants tend to take different occupation … Read More [...]

I am really not surprised. Some people don't want to do the work of anything any more. If it's not fun, don't do it. The internet is just making this easier.
