Kind of a Mongrel Language
The Super Bowl’s this weekend. Which always makes me wonder why football championships are called ‘Bowls’ off all the words they could use to describe the game they pick the one that makes me want to put on pajamas and eat cereal?
- This lady is awesome, why couldn’t I have had her as an English teacher in high school? Also: the English language is ridiculous.
- Republican Senator responds to Obama’s call for consensus and reason by putting a hold on all nominations if he doesn’t get specific projects for his state. Issues ransom note.
- Armani Exchange launches its Valentines Day ad campaign. Midwest Conservatives freak out.
- There are very few public figures I actually admire. Lawrence Lessig is one of them.
Also the universe came very close to imploding this week as Jon Stewart went on the O’Reilly Factor. Luckily for all living beings disaster was narrowly averted.
